A. We value long term commitments and as part of our People and Payroll package, we complete a Fair Work Appraisal, which will evaluate your employee agreements, and our HR bundle goes even further! As a standalone service, we do not offer one-off reviews, but we know some great people in the industry that we can refer you to.
Q. Why do you need to do a Fair Work appraisal?
A. At Workplace Central, we believe it’s in your best interests to ensure that all your staff are being paid correctly, before moving to our People and Payroll solution. This also helps us to provide better solutions to you through the optional bundles you may purchase.
Q. How does using a payroll management solution boost productivity?
A. Partnering with a payroll management company, like Workplace Central, allows you to focus on the things you do best; the most important things in your workplace. This increases productivity as your employment functions are mostly handled offsite. As our solution is built around an online platform, you’ll also have access to rostering solutions to boost your team’s efficiency and cost effectiveness.
Q. I stress at night about my business growing and employing new team members? How can you help?
A. With People and Payroll, recruitment of new team members is an optional bundle available as part of our service. We can manage the entire process, or parts of it, and come to an agreement with you on the most suitable applicant for the role. It’s much easier than finding the time to do it all yourself!
Q. What does Workplace Health and Safety have to do with payroll?
A. At Workplace Central, our goal is to provide you with a holistic employment solution. This means that even though you can simply purchase our payroll package, when you include the bundles, such as Health and Safety, you get the added benefit of having our team, who already know your business, work with you to manage the onerous responsibilities in this area. It’s another opportunity for you to be more confident that employee practices are being managed well.
Q. Can this solution improve staff morale?
A. There are many factors that influence staff morale, and being paid on time, every time, is certainly an important factor that we manage for you. With our HR bundle we can also support you with the tools and resources you need to mediate issues that may arise from time to time, and help to set clear expectations through easy to read position descriptions, amongst other general HR advice.
Q. What if I have existing staff I’d like you to process payroll for?
A. Our payroll package can support you in outsourcing your payroll for all staff, whether new, or existing. We ensure we get accurate reports from you regarding existing entitlements so they may be transferred to the new system.
Q. How do I let you know what hours to pay people for the week?
A. We set you up with our easy to use, cloud based software developed for businesses just like yours. You can approve time sheets lodged directly through this system (there’s even an app!), or we can accept a variety of CSV files from other time sheeting systems. Then we do the rest – pay into bank accounts, payslips, super, end of year financial summaries and more.
Q. How do you engage with my workplace?
A. We engage with you and your team in a way that you are comfortable with. For the basic payroll package, it’s typically online and phone engagement. Working with us and our bundled solutions does require us to spend some time on site.
Q. What do I do with the time I have spare after engaging Workplace Central with People and Payroll?
A. Now that’s the fun bit! No one became a chef to become a HR guru. Now you have us as your partner, you can spend time doing what you are passionate about.
